Dead or Alive Xtreme Sense lets players smell the “fragrant” aroma of its playable ladies

Dead of Alive Xtreme has always been a perverse series of video games. Scantily-clad ladies playing beach volleyball, slapping each other with their butts and wearing the most promiscuous clothing you can find are just some of the notable features of these fan-beloved spin-offs. With a VR version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, you would think that now players can get closer to their waifus than ever before, but yet again Japan has gone out of their way to make the game even weirder.

Coming from Tecmo Koei, Dead or Alive Xtreme Sense will allow players to smell the apparently “fragrant” aroma of the Dead or Alive girls. Utilizing the unique technology of VR Sense, a VR Arcade cabinet that simulates all five senses, Dead or Alive “fans” will be able to not only smell their favorite fighter/volleyball players, but will also be able to feel everything from the breeze of the wind to light splashes of water. If gamers get a high enough score during their time hanging out with the girls, they’ll be rewarded with a special “Viewing Time”. I don’t even want to know what that means.

The constant improvements to VR technology is certainly incredible to witness, although maybe Koei Tecmo are looking in the wrong places. Nevertheless, I’m sure that fans of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 in Japan will take full advantage of this new version and will either leave the arcade walking funny or, in the worse case scenario: blind.
