Destiny Servers Are Currently Down

If you are playing Destiny, you might be having some trouble connecting to the servers.

The Bungie Help Twitter page tweeted out the following announcement:

“We are aware of issues preventing some players ability to connect to Destiny and are currently investigating. Standby for updates”

As of time of writing, the message was written 30 minutes ago. People still continue to have trouble connecting to the Destiny servers for some reason.

PSN and Xbox Live are working now, so it’s just Destiny that is having problems at the moment. It doesn’t appear to be any suspicious activity causing the issues.

The main problem with Destiny is that it’s an always online video game. You need the servers to work 100 percent of the time, or else you cannot play.

Destiny also requires players to connect online even if they want to play the single player campaign only too. Right now, the game cannot be played at all if the servers are down.

If you own Destiny, don’t worry too much that you are unable to sign in to the servers. This issue is happening worldwide. So just leave the game and play something else. Hopefully things resolve soon.
