Some people speculate that EA’s Star Wars Battlefront game will be DLC heavy. DICE has reassured fans the DLC isn’t just stripped off the main game itself.

Star Wars Battlefront’s producer, Jesper Nielsen, recently went on Reddit to answer a few fan queries about the game. The topic of the game’s DLC plan was brought up and Nielsen tried his best to reassure fans that they are still getting a full game on launch.

Nielsen said Star Wars Battlefront does not have any day-one DLC. He said the only DLC that they have announced is “Battle of Jakku”. This DLC isn’t coming out until three weeks after the game comes out. This DLC is also based off of Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.

He stressed that Star Wars Battlefront’s Battle of Jakku DLC was not stripped off of the main game. He said the DLC needed to be developed at a “different timeline“. This makes sense since DICE is on a strict time limit on making this game. They need to get this game out in time for the release of Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.

EA and DICE have not announced any additional DLC for Star Wars Battlefront yet. It’s possible the prequel trilogy might be added as DLC as they have been snubbed from the main game this time around.
