One of the more underrated releases of 2016 was definitely Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, which was built around a more Persona-like setup. However, those looking for the classic Digimon World experience will be happy for the upcoming Digimon World: Next Order. Set to release at the end of January, not only has some new information been revealed about the game, but also details about free DLC coming to the game post-release.

Coming in a press release from Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, it has been revealed that the game will feature an all-new dungeon that was not included in the original PS Vita release that will take place after the regular story mode. You better prepare yourself during the game though, as this dungeon will have you squaring off against the Mega level Digimon Armageddemon.

In addition, they also announced that two Digimon from the ongoing Digimon Adventure Tri movies will be added to the game, which are Meicoomon and Maycrackmon. You will also be able to take part in Network Battles at the Dimensional Box in-game at Jijimon’s house. These Network Battles will feature a “retro atmosphere” and will allow you to gain points to unlock various rewards.

The most intriguing announcement out of this press release though was that Digimon World: Next Order will be getting free post-release DLC, which is described as:

“After the release of the game, players will also enjoy new content thanks to an exclusive free DLC. Piedmon, Myotismon and the fearful Boltboutamon are all joining during a new mysterious event. Several other events, involving different Digimon such as Piedmon, Tukaimon or Sorcermon, will also be available.”

Digimon World: Next Order will be releasing in the US exclusively for PS4 on January 31.
