EA is not going to waste anytime in getting the word out there about their deal with Disney to bring Star Wars games to new video game platforms. In just a couple week’s time, EA will reveal their Star Wars plans at E3 2013. The company has included Star Wars franchises as part of its E3 line-up, coming along on the ride with Battlefield 4, the myriad of new EA Sports titles in the works, Need For Speed, and others.
Since the cat is out of the bag with the Xbox One, EA is now free to talk about their next-gen plans, which is precisely what EA Labels Manager Frank Gibeau did on the company blog. “Our E3 briefing ‘The Download: EA 2013 Preview’ will be a showcase of next-generation games like Battlefield 4, Need for Speed, a full range of EA Sports games and a first look at our plans for the Star Wars partnership with Disney.”
Microsoft reserved a large chunk of their reveal time slot for Electronic Arts yesterday. Apparently the two companies have formed some sort of partnership for the next-generation, but very little details were given about what this would mean for gamers. Perhaps we’ll hear more at E3 2013.
