EVO 2015 is looking like an impressive tournament with newcomers like Tekken 7 and Mortal Kombat X joining the fray.
Mortal Kombat X will be out on consoles by the time EVO 2015 happens in July. As for Tekken 7, players will have to compete using the arcade machine. Bandai Namco has yet to announce when the console version will out.
Bandai Namco will allow gamers to play Tekken 7 during events across North America later this year. This will give competitors a chance to practice the game before facing off against one another. Tekken 7 will also be playable at EVO 2015 as well so latecomers can practice the game too.
Tekken 7 being at EVO 2015 is significant since it was at EVO 2014 when the game was first announced. It’ll be interesting to see how the competitors play the game on arcades since they don’t have much preparation time as the other games at the event.
The EVO 2015 lineup is:
-Ultra Street Fighter 4
-Marvel vs. Capcom 3
-Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
-Guilty Gear Xrd
-Killer Instinct
-Mortal Kombat X
-Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
-Super Smash Bros. Melee
-Tekken 7
There might be more games added to the EVO 2015 lineup between now and July. Be on the lookout for other fighting games.
EVO 2015 will be held in Las Vegas on July 17th until July 19th.
