Sony has announced three famous PlayStation characters are making a cameo in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.

As announced on the PlayStation Blog, Ratchet, Sackboy and Sweet Tooth will be available as character heads in the game.

This means you can create a custom character in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 and use their heads as masks. It’s not as good as them being fully playable characters, but it’s still neat for what it’s worth.

All you need to receive these character heads is to purchase the game on either the PS4 or PS3. Obviously these heads won’t be available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions. It’s unknown if Microsoft will be getting a similar deal for Xbox characters yet.

The PlayStation Blog also talked more about the online mode of the game. It will have its own dedicated servers and players can drop in and drop out of the Freeskate online sessions.

They said the online mode is quick and easy to use. You can toggle if you want to do missions or just skate around for fun. Lobbies can hold up to 20 players at a time.

As a reminder, only the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 has the online mode. PS3 and Xbox 360 are offline only.
