The Battlefield Blog has been conducting a poll for those anticipating the release of Battlefield 4. The poll asks what these fans are most excited for from the shooter, and unsurprisingly, the answer is multiplayer.

Over 80 percent of the Battlefield fans that have taken the poll have answered multiplayer as their most anticipated aspect of Battlefield 4. The Battlefield franchise has long been associated with great online gameplay, so these numbers are not surprising. It probably comes as no surprise to EA either, but will it urge the publsiher to reveal some of the multiplayer aspects of the game to drum up interest?

So far, Battlefield 4 is walking the same line that Battlefield 3 did back in 2011. The first reveal was single player focused, but gave us a nice glimpse of the spectacular visuals that DICE’s next shooter will have. While we very well may hear more about online prior to E3, the convention was the jumping off point for online gameplay, after a playable demo was shown behind closed doors at the Battlefield booth.

Battlefield 4 is expected to arrive this October.
