Electronic Arts’ FIFA 18 holds at the top of the United Kingdom charts for a second week, preventing Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 7 from debuting at number 1. While a number of reasons made FIFA debut with lower sales than its previous entry, the second week of ’18’ has actually been stronger, achieving a more stable performance compared to last year. The PS4 and Xbox One versions remain the most popular, followed by the ones for the previous generation and finally the Nintendo Switch port, which confirms its poor reception from last week, although at least it remains inside the top 20.

Xbox One’s exclusive racing game debuts with lower sales than the more recent entries in the franchise, but the staying power of last year’s Forza Horizon 3, still in the top 3 thanks to being bundled with the console, helps to minimize the disappointment. Forza Motorsport 7 can’t beat the different editions of FIFA 18 on the All Formats list, but it also fails to beat the sales of the Xbox One version of FIFA on its second week, which is a very meaningful detail.

Other new releases include The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame, which debuts at number 7 ahead of the upcoming premiere of the movie in theaters. Of the two new releases for Nintendo 3DS this week, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions debuts at number 19, while Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy enters at number 31. Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen for PS4 and Xbox One debuts at number 39.
