While we all prepared for E3 last week, Scott Cawthon went and updated the Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 website with yet another new teaser image. This one is a bit less informative unfortunately, not even showing a full blown character.

The image, which you can see above, features a purple top hat and bow tie, which look similar to the items worn by series namesake Freddy Fazbear Fredbear. Of course, in true Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 fashion, that isn’t the only detail contained in the teaser image.

Down at the bottom corner, if you look very closely and raise the brightness a bit, is some cryptic and incomplete text that reads “Property of FR________ER”. The blanks leave a lot to be interpreted, but fans have taken up the task.

Many point out that the text most likely refers to “Property of Fredbear’s Family Diner”, which plays a big role in the backstory of the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe. This plays into the previous teasers, which have all pointed to the past in some way.

Due to the previous teasers, the major theory at the moment is the incident in 1987 that has been alluded to throughout the series and the last few teaser images.

Whatever it is all adding up to, Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 will hit PC on October 31st, 2015.
