Fortnite Chapter 3 Could Be Coming Sooner Than Expected

Fortnite Chapter 2 has been a great successor to Chapter 1 and Fortnite Chapter 3 might also walk on those lines. Fortnite Chapters are a collection of different seasons and usually, one Chapter in Fortnite is ten seasons long. The last season is the finale, where the game sets the stage for the next Chapter. A new Chapter also brings a brand new map to the table. The current Fortnite season (Season 8) has reached its halfway point, but it looks like we might not get a Season 9.

Instead, rumor has it that the developer Epic Games may catch players by surprise with a sooner than expected arrival of Chapter 3. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 will conclude on December 5, which is almost one month from now. However, the Fortnite community is now speculating that whether a ninth and tenth season on the current map will occur or not. Few in-game clues hint at the arrival of Chapter 3, which fans have spotted. There’s an in-game book-reading emote that subtly nods to getting to the “end of the chapter.” While Fortnite Season 8’s new debutant and a plausible antagonist, the Cube Queen, has several associated items which hint that the time is running out and about the end of the Island.

Even some notable Fortnite leakers are now suggesting that Chapter 3 is almost upon us. HYPEX, a prominent Fortnite leaker, recently tweeted that Chapter 2 is “now the exact same length” as Chapter 1, with only eight seasons.

ShiinaBR, another Fortnite data miner in their tweet, reveals that numerous convincing theories are hinting at Chapter 3 coming straight after the current season. The leaker also adds that the well-known streamer SypherPK, in his newest video description, has asserted that “there won’t be a Season 9 or Season X from the information” he has gotten so far.” Here’s what SypherPK’s video description reads:

“I know you’re not going to believe me but I have received information that Fortnite Chapter 3 is in a month. There wont be a Season 9 or Season X from the information I’ve received. To prove it, I’ll tease you guys at the end of this video.”

Previous leaks on Reddit also suggest that Fortnite Chapter 3 might be the successor of Season 8. Most of the leaks by the Redditor have been accurate so far. But whether we’ll see an early departure of Chapter 2 still remains to be seen.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
