Gears of War Series Among Most Played Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Games

We already know that Xbox One backwards compatibility is popular among gamers. That being said, the Gears of War series is among the most played Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One.

As noted by DualShockers, The Coalition Studio Head, Rod Fergusson, made an announcement during the Gears of War ESL league finals.

Fergusson revealed that Gears of War original, 2, 3 and Judgement are among the nine most popular Xbox One compatible games. Four games on a list of nine is not bad. This goes to show us how eager fans are for Gears of War 4 to come out. They are playing all of the older games already.

It was noted by Microsoft a few days ago that Xbox One gamers have played over 15 million hours of Xbox 360 games via backwards compatibility. This goes to show us that Xbox 360 games are still popular even though the Xbox One is now over two years old.

The fourth Gears game will be released exclusively for the Xbox One in Fall 2016. Unlike the older games, the new one stars new characters. A beta will be held in Spring 2016.
