Doom was one of the defining games for the FPS genre back in the ’90s and after a few different sequels, the series got the reboot treatment earlier this year. This full scale release typically is a full price game, but you can get it right now for only $19.99 at one retailer.
Doom launched back in May for Xbox One, PS4, and PC to very good reviews, largely focusing on the exceptional single player campaign, while being held back by the merely okay multiplayer.
The fact that the multiplayer was not that well received may have kept some gamers from picking up the game at full price in the past, but GameStop may just have the sweet spot for you.
As of this writing, GameStop has discounted Doom from $59.99 to $19.99 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. All three platforms are currently in stock on the GameStop website, but with it having the pick up in store option, it appears that price also carries over to in-store as well.
Saving $40 on a game like Doom is really about as cheap as you’re going to find it for awhile outside of maybe Black Friday in a few months, so it might be time to finally pull that trigger on your BFG if you’ve been waiting for a sale.
