Australians have a chance to play Gran Turismo Sport later this month if they are able to compete in the GT Academy competition.
Here’s what was announced by Nissan Australia: “We are pleased to announce that Nissan PlayStation GT Academy is returning to Australia for 2016. A series of GT Academy live qualification events will also provide Australian gamers with the opportunity to play a pre-release version of Gran Turismo Sport on PlayStation 4 ahead of the game’s release on 16 November 2016.
The competition will run from August to September, with six Australian finalists given the chance to compete in the GT Academy International Finals in Silverstone, UK.
The first event is happening on August 14th at Federation Square in Melbourne. After that, the competition heads on over to the Sydney Motorsport Park Super Sprint Supercars Event. The Sydney event runs from August 26th to August 28th. Finally, the Gold Coast in Warner Bros. Movie World will be holding the last event for GT Academy on September 7th until September 9th.
Here’s a note about the events: “Preregistration for the live events is not required and registration will be taken on the day. A total of 20 competitors will gain entry to the GT Academy Australian Finals from the live qualifying events.”
The Australian Finals take place in September at Movie World and then six lucky winners will then compete in the UK. If you are good at driving, it might be worth going to the events so you can see how good you really are.
