Today’s quarterly conference call for Take Two Interactive had the potential to include information about Grand Theft Auto V. GTA V will be a big seller for the company when it is eventually released, but was not included in Take Two’s projected release schedule.
This schedule details all releases up to March 2013, a date that many believed to be an “at the latest” release date for Grand Theft Auto V. “We haven’t talked about a release date,” explained Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. “We’re blessed to be working with Rockstar,” professed the CEO.
Not including Grand Theft Auto V in its release projections with titles like Max Payne 3, Borderlands 2 and Bioshock Infinite will definitely come as a heart breaker for fans looking for concrete details, but it should come as no surprise. Earlier this month, Rockstar explained that it didn’t have anything to say about GTA V, and wouldn’t for some time to come.
Perhaps this secrecy has something to do with the GTA V being a next generation title? We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
