Another bout of GTA release date rumors hit the web over the last couple of days. As fans wait patiently to hear anything on Rockstar’s open world title, a Twitter account @iTalkVideoGames came under fire from GTA V fans when it explained that the game would be “worth the wait.”

“Oh it will be worth it, even if it was a 5 year wait it would still be worth the wait,” are the comments that caused the commotion in the GTA community.

Early speculation assumed that these comments were coming from Dan Conti, a programmer at Rockstar, which led to even further and more wild speculation about the GTA V release window and the possibility that it could be even further out than 2013. Despite what may have been said on the Twitter account, Rockstar denies that this account is affiliated with the development house in any way.

In any case, there is still no concrete details on GTA V outside of the GTA V Announcement Trailer from 2011 and the recent screenshots that Rockstar recently released in GTA V Q&A.

Rockstar recently assured fans that the secretive nature surrounding the development of GTA V is in the best interest of the fans.
