Bandai Namco has announced this weekend at San Diego’s Comic Con 2017 that Gundam Versus is getting an open beta before its North American release in September. They haven’t given any more details, but considering how close the release date is, we should expect to have more information very soon. The announcement was logically directed at the North American market, considering the location of the event, but it’s more than likely that the beta will be open for players from other territories like Europe.
The company also revealed the bonus content for pre-ordering the game on PS4. Fans who pre-order the game will get the extra characters ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus, GN-005 Gundam Virtue, and BN-876 Beta Hot Scramble Gundam (pictured above), the latter being a pre-order exclusive that will not be sold separately afterwards. It is understood that the extra DLC will be available for pre-ordering the game phisically and in digital form.
Gundam Versus is the latest entry in the long-running Mobile Suit Gundam fighting series. Last week we told you that the game had topped the Japanese charts in its debut. This entry allows players to fight each other in teams of 2v2 and 3v3.
Gundam Versus will release in North America and Europe on September 29.
