Injustice 2 is only a few days away from release and that means loads of details about the game will be surfacing soon. We had previously learned the file size for Xbox One, but the sometimes drastically different PS4 file size had not been revealed yet. Just a few days ahead of the game’s release however, the official PlayStation store has been updated with a listing for Injustice 2 that lists the file size for PS4.
The official Xbox One Marketplace listing for Injustice 2 revealed a few weeks ago that it would be 27.16 GB. This is definitely on the smaller end of major AAA games that have released as of recent, but it’s not like Injustice 2 would be on the scale of some games that have gotten closer to 50 GB like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
In comparison to the Xbox One version, the file size for Injustice 2 on PS4 comes in at 27.8 GB according to the PlayStation Store listing. This file size is just a little bigger than what the size will be on Xbox One, which sounds about right. There are some games that have very different sizes between the two systems, but most of them are in the same vicinity size wise.
The Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition specifically states you need a minimum of 35 GB for the file size, which is likely due to the upcoming DLC for the game. The Ultimate Edition will give you all nine DLC characters that will be released after the game comes out, so it makes sense that adding an additional 7 or so GB would cover that.
While this file size isn’t that large compared to many others, you may still be running out of space on your PS4 or Xbox One regardless. Thankfully, PS4 now allows you to use external hard drives for storage, which Xbox One has offered for awhile now if you need the extra space.
