Injustice 2’s Starfire Will Be Voiced By Familiar Actress

Injustice 2 is just over a week away and with the full roster already being unveiled, NetherRealm Studios gave us a tease of the first three DLC characters this past week. Coming in Fighter Pack 1, Starfire, Red Hood, and Sub-Zero will be joining the roster whenever it is released. We assume Sub-Zero’s VA will be returning from the recent Mortal Kombat games, but the other two were a mystery. However, now we know who is going to be handling the voice duties for one of them.

Starfire has been most known in two animated properties over time, with the Teen Titans series featuring a much younger version and then the recent Titans animated movies from DC featuring an older version. The latter seemed to look much more like the older version seen in the recent movies, so we had a feeling they may get the same voice actress and that is what they did. Voice actress Kari Wahlgren was the one who voiced her in those movies and made the following announcement on Twitter.

Guess who’s back?

Wahlgren is definitely a good fit for the role of Starfire in the game based on her past experience with the role and offers an older version of the role. It would be cool to get a Teen Titans design as well in the game that could maybe in the form of a premier skin with the Teen Titans voice actress, but Wahlgren is the right choice for this look at least.

Red Hood is still an unknown for who is going to voice him, though a fan favorite choice would be Jensen Ackles that voiced him in the Under the Red Hood animated film. However, the more likely option would be who voiced the character in Batman: Arkham Knight. We’ll have to wait to see on that though, as we haven’t heard and the DLC for Injustice 2 doesn’t even have a release date as the game isn’t even out yet.
