The makers of the popular Playstation franchises Ratchet and Clank and Resistance recently have decided to move their business in a new direction.  Inking a partnership with Electronic Arts bringing a new property to both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.  Ted Price, who disclosed no new information about this new title had this to say:

In creating this new universe for this game we wanted simply to reach more players.

With the Xbox 360’s healthy base of gamers, sales are likely to increase for the once Playstation exclusive developer.  But what does this mean for the relationship between Sony and Insomniac?  Very little.  Price also stated:

We continue to have a fantastic relationship with Sony and our commitment to Ratchet and Resistance is just as strong as ever.  However, the new relationship we have with EA opens up even more possibilities for us when it comes to multi-platform.

So what will this new multiplatform IP be?  Speculation has not yet begun as no details have been released at all.  E3, could house details on the new title, being just a few weeks away stay tuned for more details, maybe.
