After how expensive the Oculus Rift turned out to be, many people are anxious to see how much the HTC Vive will be. Well it appears we may not have to wait long to know how much it will cost.

Japanese website, S-Max, wrote a huge article on their hands-on impressions with the HTC Vive so far. In the latter part of the article, it reveals that the price of the headset will be revealed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event next week.

MWC 2016 is happening in Barcelona, Spain on February 22nd, 2016 and runs until February 25th, 2016. Pre-orders for the headset will then open online on February 29th, 2016 which is a few weeks before it comes out sometime in April.

VR headsets are predicted to be the future of video gaming, but the price for them could prevent that from happening. Many people frowned upon the fact that the Oculus Rift costs $599. The price is even higher if you live outside of North America due to currency rates and shipping.

Whether or not the HTC Vive will cost more or less than the Oculus Rift remains to be seen. There needs to be a price point that will satisfy a sizeable amount of potential buyers.
