Journey Finally Hits PS4 This Summer at 1080p and 60 FPS

by Kyle Hanson

Previously announced during 2014’s Gamescom convention, Journey and two other ThatGameCompany titles will be released on PS4 this Summer. The firm release date hasn’t been given yet, but this window is still closer than anything we had before. The two other games in the package are FlOw and Flower, two PS3 games that offereed unique gameplay and visuals. All three titles will be fully remaster to take advantage of the PS4’s extra horsepower, upping the resolution and framerate to 1080p and 60 FPS.

The three games will be available digitally through the PlayStation Store, as well as a bundled retail package in brick-and-mortar outlets. In fact, FlOw and Flower are already available on the PlayStation Store, and those who owned the games on PS3 or PS Vita can get them at no additional charge. There hasn’t been any confirmation of cross-buy for Journey owners though, so keep an eye out for more news on that as it comes out.

Journey came out originally in 2012 for the PS3, igniting an indie revolution on the console that has lasted until today. The game received critical praise and commerical success, ultimately earning multiple game of the year awards from various outlets.
