It seemed like Sony’s PS4 Pro was being left out of most special design promotions until very recently, but this end of 2017 might mark a shift in that tendency. The company has unveiled today a new limited PS4 Pro model featuring a special design based on Star Wars imagery, linked to the release of the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II. The console will be launched in North America and Europe with one particularity: While North American fans will only receive the PS4 Pro bundle, European buyers will have an additional limited edition PS4 bundle in grey.
The limited edition models feature the classic symbols of the Galactic Empire and the Resistance, and they are joined by the emblem of the the Inferno Squad, an elite Imperial task force with special relevance for the plot of the game. The console also features a mirror finish not perceptible in the promotional images. The classic icons are also present on the Dualshock 4 controller, as well as the Star Wars logo on the touch pad. Apart from the special design, the bundles include a copy of the Deluxe Edition of the game, which lets fans play three days earlier than the launch of the standard version in stores, and includes premium digital content like upgraded versions of all four trooper classes and instant access to elite hero and Starfighter epic Star Cards.
Additionally, all fans will also have the chance to buy the standard edition of the game along with a Jet Black 1TB HDD PS4. As we mentioned above, European fans will also have the chance to purchase a standard PS4 model featuring the design from the limited edition in grey.
This holiday season there will definitely be a PS4 for each kind of person, with the console receiving limited edition bundles with designs inspired on Gran Turismo Sport, Call of Duty: WWII, or Monster Hunter: World.
The Limited Edition Star Wars: Battlefront II PS4 Pro bundle launches on November 14.
