Lost Odyssey and The Last Story developer Mistwalker appears to be gearing up for another adventure, as the company founder recently called out for new talent to join his team.
Mistwalker founder and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi released a message on Twitter that he is looking for new employees to fill monster and background designers in his team. We don’t have specific details on what this game could be, though things he has said in the past could give us some clues.
Sakaguchi previously mentioned that he had plans of releasing a console game that was inspired by Mistwalker’s mobile RPG Terra Battle, and the fact that their had been little to no news regarding its development for several months could mean that something is finally starting to begin.
Mistwalker got its start with 2006’s RPG Blue Dragon before releasing the cult classic Lost Odyssey the very next year, but due to the poor performances of both games the company shifted directions a bit by making mobile games. It would be great if another major RPG from them was in the works, as The Last Story is one of the best games the Wii had to offer.
