Metal Gear Online Has Custom Match Options For Player Numbers

Metal Gear Online will allow you to have custom match options that can limit the number of players.

The Metal Gear Online twitter page announced:

“I have some good news this morning for fans of custom matches and additional options. After some deliberation, and thanks to your input, we have implemented a custom match option that allows for additional player numbers. When playing a custom match, you can select 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 6v6, 7v7, and 8v8 # of players.”

This confirms that the maximum number of players that can be in a Metal Gear Online match are 16 players. The minimum is pretty funny as two players can face off each other in a match to the death. This is rare for an online action game.

The Metal Gear Online twitter page also revealed that there won’t be any bots allowed in the game. Only real players are able to join in games. This is good for players that want to experience a real challenge. We all know that bots aren’t nearly as good as human players when it comes to action games.

The Metal Gear Online twitter page also said the normal setting for an online match is 6v6 or 8v8. This is probably where most players will be when the game goes live this September. You may find it hard to find games with the other player numbers, unless you have friends that can join you.
