The official Metal Gear Solid Twitter page recently answered a few fan questions about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

First of all, it was confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be the longest game in the entire series. It will take you several hours to complete the main game, plus there are the many side missions included as well with the online component on top of that too.

Speaking of online play, you will still need a PlayStation Plus subscription on PS4 and Xbox Live Gold for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Network features are needed in Metal Gear Online and Forward Operating Bases.

Another cool thing is that content will be the same throughout all versions of the game. PS3 and Xbox 360 owners don’t have to worry about missing out on anything as every platform has the same amount of content.

It was also revealed that Big Boss cannot swim in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. He can only “walk through water, shallow streams” and any place where his feet can touch the ground.

Lastly, PC users gave a ton of feedback to Konami to convince them to release all platforms simultaneously. The PC version was originally going to be released a few weeks after the console versions. This no longer the case as everyone will receive the game on September 1st, 2015.
