Microsoft had recently put up a new job listing looking for an Executive Producer to join their team for a AAAA title. That’s no misprint. While the first job listing that explicitly mentioned the new Xbox is no longer around, when it was viewable, here’s what it said:

“Microsoft Studios (Xbox) is looking for a dynamic and seasoned Executive Producer to lead and develop a world-class team who will own the creation and delivery of a AAAA experience that delivers on 1st party goals and, more importantly, creates a fun gaming experience for our audience,” said the listing

“The EP will have P&L responsibility for a major Xbox AAAA console title,” the job listing continued.

“The EP must also “deliver the end-to-end AAAA title experience (Concept, Prototype, Greenlight, Pre-Production, Production, Release, ongoing revenue streams and a complete franchise plan).”

Microsoft’s timely removal of the job listing obviously points to the fact that they still are not ready to announce the next generation, but hopefully that time is soon.
