A Modern Warfare 3 annoucement is coming soon.  It has recently been hinted that the rumored sequel to 2009’s blockbuster shooter, Modern Warfare 2, might be getting a sequel and we’ll learn all about it this month.  U.K.’s PSM3 Magazine alluded to industry insiders giving them the heads up saying that ” Activision’s megaton FPS series will be announced in mid-April.”  More importantly, the magazine speculates that the next game will pick up right where Modern Warfare 2 left off.  Considering how Modern Warfare 2 left off, we think they might be right.

Many have speculated what the next Call of Duty game will bring.  From a new adventure based around the life and times of Ghost, to a far-future affair, it looks like we’ll be hearing more very soon from Activision about this new game being developed by Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software, and of course what’s left of Infinity Ward.

The timing feels about right here.  Last year at this time, we got our first information about the latest Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Black Ops.
