Mortal Kombat X is a little over a month away from celebrating its one year anniversary of release, but the celebration is starting a little early with the release of Kombat Pack 2 and Mortal Kombat XL next week. While these will both cost you money, all console Mortal Kombat X owners will be getting a free surprise in March as well.
For each of the releases of the first Kombat Pack last year, we were treated by NetherRealm Studios to a free skin of some sort along with the compatibility pack. However, coinciding with the releases next week, we are getting a full free costume pack.
NetherRealm took to their official Twitter to announce that Mortal Kombat X owners for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One would be getting what is known as the Medieval Pack on March 1. Like how the PC version is not being supported anymore with the upcoming characters, it appears these costumes are not coming either.
The Medieval costume pack comes with three completely new skins, this time for Kotal Kahn, Kung Jin, and Ferra & Tor. The three costumes being added can all be seen above, with each of them looking pretty neat.
Mortal Kombat XL will release next Tuesday, March 1 for those that do not have the regular game, while those who already own the game can instead purchase the Kombat Pack 2 on the same day.
