NBA 2K15’s MyGM Mode Sounds Stellar As Ever This Year

When the NBA 2K series made the leap to the now current-gen consoles last November, we got the inclusion of a brand new mode known as MyGM, which brought even more life to the game as you truly felt like you were running a team. With NBA 2K15 set to release in about a month, Game Informer has revealed plenty of new details about the returning MyGM mode, including how it fixes some of the faults found with last year’s game.

The MyGM mode features some RPG elements, including discussions with your players. However, many complained that the yes or no answers had no repercussions, but that has greatly changed. Now, if you happen to tell your player that he will get more minutes and you lie about it, that player may start to play worse and hurt your team as a whole. The media is also more attentive to what you say as well, and the wrong answers can easily make them distrust you.

A new leveling system has also been implemented, which will see you earning XP for every action you take, which can eventually give you access to more perks. One of the biggest complaints about last year’s MyGM mode was how it wasn’t very friendly to those that prefer to sim most of games, but that has been adjusted this year with the addition of SimCast. This allows you do set everything up pre-game and jump in at any point of a game if you wish.

MyGM mode sounds vastly improved this year and I definitely can’t wait to check it out when the games releases on October 7.
