If you own an Xbox One console and have Xbox Live Gold, you’ll be happy to know that you can play NBA 2K16 for free until the end of the month.
Microsoft announced via Xbox Wire that NBA 2K16 will be free to play from “12 PM PT Thursday, May 26 through 11:59 PM PT Monday, May 30“. The full game will be playable for as long as you want during this time period only. It’s a good chance to see if you like the game or not.
If you end up liking the game, it’s on sale this week. Not to mention your save progress will be retained so you don’t have to worry about playing through any modes all over again. The discount only counts if you buy the game digitally via the Xbox Live Marketplace.
This promotion is perfect timing with the NBA Playoffs underway. Next month, the NBA Finals start and it looks like it could be the Oklahoma City Thunder vs the Cleveland Cavaliers. If you are unhappy with that, you can play NBA 2K16 so you can make your own favorite teams play for the NBA Championship.
