Treyarch has revealed various image teasers for a brand new round-based zombie map releasing for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War season 6 followed by teasers for the possible storyline.

Zombie mode has been relatively quiet compared to the updates other modes have been receiving even with Season 5, but Treyarch is now teasing an interesting change to that with various images dropped on Twitter teasing a brand new map.

BOCW Zombies Location Teasers

In the September 14th Twitter teaser, players have been able to deduce that the new map will likely be in a secret military facility based in Ukraine, it may even be the same location for the “Redlight, Greenlight” campaign mission.

The picture reads the following “Weaver – This is the place we must make our stand here. – Ravenov” which seems to confirm that this will surely be the new zombies map in Black Ops Cold War.

Treyarch also has dropped similar teases on Facebook and Instagram which seem to be hinting at two different locations from the inside of the aforementioned military base in Ukraine.

Story Teaser

Following these vague social media posts that hint away at the locations of the new zombies map, Treyarch Studios followed those with yet another Twitter post that starts relaying information about the story that will come with the new map.

The photo seems to indicate that the story will be centered around a new target Sergent Kazimir Zykov, he sacrificed himself 40 years ago to shut down the particle accelerator which in turn closed the portable to the Dark Aether.

Omega has now opened the portal, and Zykov is a high-priority asset for the knowledge he might have about the Dark Aether and how to defeat the Foresaken. Players will have to capture Zykov before Kravchenko does.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now available for purchase on PC, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
