The hype surrounding Warner Bros. and Avalanche Studios Mad Max game just keeps getting bigger. Today the fuel for this fire comes from the new Mad Max Stronghold trailer, which takes a long, hard look at the titular Max.
“Watch as Max visits some of the game’s diverse strongholds and encounters a number of intriguing characters, including Jeet, Gutgash, Pink Eye and Deep Friah. In a world where Max faces both his internal and external enemies, these strongholds hold the pieces essential to the puzzle he tries to solve as he prepares to take on the merciless Wasteland tyrant, Scrotus.”
Not quite based on the recent Mad Max: Fury Road film, Mad Max the game tells a unique tale of Max as he wanders the wasteland that used to be our world. Many iconic landmarks and groups will make an appearance though, as the game is firmly set in the universe of the four films.
Mad Max will feature a mixture of third-person action gameplay and vehicular combat. We got to go hands-on with the game back at E3 2015 and came away quite impressed, saying the game had some of the best vehicular combat we’d ever seen.
Mad Max will be available starting September 1st for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
