A new Naruto video game has been announced by Bandai Namco called Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing. Before you get too excited, it’s a smart phone game…
As noted by Saiyan Island, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing is being developed by both CyberConnect2 and GREE. It won’t be a traditional fighting game either as it’s turn-based. You will be happy to know that it will be free to play.
The game will be out later this year in Japan for both iOS and Android devices. No other additional details have been announced at this time, but it’s expected a Western release is coming as a trademark was filed for the name earlier this year.
The status of future console Naruto games remain unclear at this stage. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 has been advertised to be the last one of the series. Not to mention the series has ended for now.
Bandai Namco could always release more games like they did with the Dragon Ball series before Super came around. Naruto may not be as popular as Dragon Ball, but it still has tons of fans and is still a profitable franchise.
