A new video was recently posted to The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel, which showed off some new mechanics in the upcoming Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! games. One of these new features is Exclusive Moves.

The last thing shown in the video is Exclusive Moves, which are special moves only your partner Pokémon (Pikachu or Eevee, depending on your version) can use. Sometimes during battle, your partner Pokémon will try to reach out to you and you will see an icon of them above the Fight button. When you see this icon, you can wave your Joy-Con to unleash your partner’s Exclusive Move. Pikachu can use the Exclusive Moves Pika Pawow, an Electric-type attack that’s power increases based on how strong your bond with Pikachu is, or Splishy Splash, a Water-type attack that may paralyze opponents. Eevee can use a variety of Exclusive Moves, including the Normal-type Veevee Volley, which gets stronger depending on how strong your bond with Eevee is, the Water-type Bouncy Bubble, which lets Eevee restore its own HP by up to half of the amount of damage inflicted by the move, the Electric-type Buzzy Buzz, which has a 100% chance of paralyzing opponents susceptible to Paralysis, and the Fire-type Sizzly Slide, which has a 100% chance of burning opponents susceptible to being Burned. Additionally, if your partner Pokémon’s icon appears while a different, non-partner member of your party is currently battling, waving the Joy-Con will give a stat boost to your fighting Pokémon.

The new video also showcased Secret Techniques, which will be these games’ replacement for HMs and Poké Rides, as well as showing off Celadon City and its Gym Leader, Erika. You can watch the full video below. Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eeveeare set for release on the Nintendo Switch on November 16.
