It has been a while since preview members have been treated to a new Xbox One update. It sounds like an update of some sort is coming as soon as next week.
A fan asked Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra on Twitter earlier this week when we should see the next Xbox One preview update. Ybarra replied with: “Pay attention next week.”
Microsoft already stated that the new big Xbox One update wouldn’t be coming in December 2015 or January 2016. This is because the engineers that work on Microsoft were on Holiday much like everyone else was as well.
Now it looks like everyone is back at work and a small taste of a new update should be seen by preview members next week. Ybarra already teased in a Twitter video earlier this month on a semi new feature that allows you to view party members before they are invited.
This feature was introduced before, but was removed when the new dashboard was released. Microsoft appears to be bringing this feature back in an upcoming Xbox One update.
The last big update for the console came in November when the new dashboard and backwards compatibility were included. It will be interesting to see what other new features are included in the future.
