New Xbox One Update Released For Preview Members Today Allows You To Remove Cortana

Microsoft has released yet another new Xbox One update for preview members today. It comes with a new feature that won’t force owners to use Cortana.

In the new Xbox One update for preview members, you can opt to stay with the old Kinect commands instead. This is because some people didn’t like the new things they were forced to say when Cortana was around. Not to mention Cortana turned out to be slower to use compared to the old way.

It remains to be seen if Cortana and the old Kinect commands will coexist when a new update is officially released to all owners of the console later this year. One would think Microsoft would want to push Cortana out to players, but some people might not be so receptive to the change.

If you live in the countries of France, Italy, Germany, and Spain, Cortana will be disabled for you already. For other preview members, you can go to the settings menu to switch off Cortana if you prefer the legacy voice commands.
