It’s been almost a year since the first two Nintendo Labo Kits were released. Now, the fourth Labo Kit has just been revealed, and it’s quite different from previous Labo Kits.
Nintendo recently revealed the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. This new Kit serves as a VR headset that, like previous Labo Kits, will have to be built around the Switch using cardboard cut-outs. This new Labo Kit will be available in the Starter Set + Blaster Kit, which includes VR Goggles as well as cardboard cut-outs for the Goggles and a Blaster, theoretically for some sort of VR shooting game. In addition to this starter set, there will be two Expansion Sets available, both of which will require the Starter Set to be used. The Expansion Set 1 will include cardboard cut-outs for a VR Camera and a VR Elephant headset. Meanwhile, the Expansion Set 2 will include cardboard cut-outs for a VR Bird headset and a Wind Pedal.
Alternatively, those looking for the full Labo VR experience will be able to purchase the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit, which includes the Goggles, Blaster, Camera, Elephant, Bird, and Wind Pedal. Prices have not yet been revealed, but the various Labo VR Kits will become available on April 12.
