No Special Edition Star Wars Battlefront Xbox One Console Planned

At D23, a special edition Star Wars Battlefront themed PS4 was announced. It has now been confirmed no Xbox One equivalent is being planned.

EA and DICE held another Q&A session that was posted over on the official website for the game. One of the questions asked was if the Xbox One was getting a special edition console too.

The short answer is no. The limited edition console is only exclusive to the PS4. It was also mentioned they have no plans to sell the cool looking DUALSHOCK 4 controller as a standalone product too. This is kind of unfortunate for those that want the controller, but already own a PS4 console itself.

The cool PS4 Star Wars Battlefront themed console also includes 4 classic games too. Gamers will be happy to know all of those games will be up on the PlayStation Store later this year. You don’t need to buy the console to play them.

The classic games are Super Star Wars, Racer Revenge, Bounty Hunter and Starfighter. The latter three were originally released for the PS2, while the former was for the Super Nintendo. It’s great that PS4 owners will now get a chance to play these awesome games.
