Oculus VR has announced that they will be hosting their own pre-E3 press conference in San Francisco on June 11th at 10am Pacific Time. The presentation should cover a wide range of virtual reality related topics, including the Oculus Rift, Gear VR, and more.

Oculus Rift has traditionally had a large presence at E3, but this will be their first full blown press conference for the event. This is likely because, until now, the Oculus Rift wasn’t ready for launch. However, it is now set for release in 2016, so Oculus needs to start ramping up their announcements soon.

The event will be livestreamed via various sources, you can view the presentation on Oculus.com or on their official Twitch channel. There is already a countdown clock on the site, ticking away the seconds until fans can get a good look at the upcoming consumer edition of the Oculus Rift.

As far as what to expect out of the presentation, hopefully we get much more firm announcements regarding the Oculus Rift price and release date. As of now we have the system specs, and the recommended specs for a computer to run it, but without a price many consumers will continue to wait.

Pre-orders for the Oculus Rift consumer edition will be opening up later this year, so these facts need to be shared soon. E3 2015 seems like the perfect place to steal some of the spotlight, and take focus off of the HTC Vive, which launches later this year.
