Microsoft recently held their E3 2019 briefing, in which they gave updates for a number of games, as well as revealing some new ones. One of the games that received an update was Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

During the Xbox E3 presentationOri and the Will of the Wisps was finally given a definitive release date – the game will launch on Xbox One and PC on February 11, 2020. Unfortunately, this means that the game will just miss its promised 2019 release window it was given during last year’s Xbox E3 showcase, but it doesn’t miss it by that much.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is an action-platformer metroidvania that is a follow-up to 2015’s Ori and the Blind Forest, which was also an Xbox console exclusive, making it a pretty rare example of an Xbox-exclusive metroidvania. Ori and the Will of the Wisps will be available via Xbox Game Pass when it launches next year. You can watch the game’s new gameplay trailer below. It doesn’t provide much new information about the game itself, but seeing some more of the game’s graphics and gameplay in motion will likely succeed in hyping it up a little bit more for fans of the first game.
