Respawn Entertainment, you know, basically the guys responsible for Modern Warfare 1&2, will be releasing their first title from their new studio in 2013.  It’s been almost two years since the scandal broke between Activision and the former heads of Infinity Ward Studios.  Since then, the duo of Jason West and Vince Zampella moved on to form Respawn Entertainment under the EA umbrella.

When the company formally launched its official website, they teased a very blurry image, and have revealed that the title will be based in the realm of sci-fi shooters.  Rumor has it that a leaked marketing schedule for Electronic Arts points to the 2013 release window for the new shooter.  The two heads of the studio are in-part responsible for the Call of Duty sales explosion that took off with Modern Warfare 1.

Those that don’t follow game news day to day, might not even know who these two fellows are, so their names attached to the project aren’t a sure fire success.  But if the rumors hold true, we’ll get a chance to see if the development chops still hold true with Respawn’s first offering in 2013.
