While Epic Games’ upcoming MOBA has been in a closed beta for a while now, today they are opening the floodgates and allowing everyone to get in on the action. All of the game’s heroes will be free-to-play during this beta, with stat-increasing cards and Master Challenges also being present.
Paragon has been making the rounds for a while now, receiving significant updates and improvements over time that have made it better and better. For those who don’t know, the game is comparable to a game like SMITE where you and your team have to take down enemy structures and towers to eventually push your way to taking down the enemy’s core in their base.
While all of the heroes will be free during the beta, the game’s actual business model with have a hero rotation similar to that of SMITE. A set amount of heroes will be free, though others will only be playable for free certain amounts of time unless you buy them. To go along with that, there will also be a new hero added to the game every 3 weeks.
While the game is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, currently there are no plans to bring the game to Xbox One. The game is set to be getting an official release later this year, though an exact release date has not yet been specified by the developer.
