Atlus made waves back in November 2013 when they announced Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3. Until now we had only heard of a Japanese release date, which is set for Winter 2014. North American fans can rest easy knowing that a localized version of the game will arrive stateside in 2015.
An English version of the teaser site can now be found here.
The Japanese developer also intends to bring three of its Persona spin-offs to the west within a similar time frame. Persona Q: Shadows of the Labyrinth is the first 3DS title for the Persona series, featuring Etrian-style dungeon crawling and chibi-sized characters. Along with Persona 4: Ultimax, an arcade-style fighting game for the PlayStation 3, it is scheduled to release in Fall 2014.
Finally, Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a rhythm-based action game where the player battles evil shadows with funky dance moves. It is set to launch for the PS Vita in 2015.
The Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series has quickly become a cornerstone of the JRPG genre since its inception 1996. Persona 4, which was re-released in 2012 as Persona 4: Golden for the PS Vita, has received nearly universal praise for its strong writing and meaningful character development.
