Sony has revealed that they will be doing another maintenance for PlayStation Network next week, meaning that parts of the network will be down for everyone. The network will be taken offline for the routine maintenance on May 25th.
However, this isn’t going to be a massive downtime for the network, with it only expected to last around 2 hours. It’s set to run from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM local time, and during that time you’ll still be able to sign in and play games. However, you won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Video or Account Management during this time.
Here’s a little message from Sony regarding the downtime:
“We strive to ensure that PlayStation Network services are available at all times, but occasionally we must take PlayStation Network offline to perform essential maintenance and implement feature enhancements. We are working hard to reduce the duration of each maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
Sony did a similar maintenance last month, with the network being down for a couple of hours and allowing people to still sign in and play games.
