Ever since its launch late last week, Pokemon Go seems like it’s taking over the world, even with many regions still waiting for it to launch. The game jumped up the charts right after launch, but there is no way that The Pokemon Company could have foreseen this level of success.
According to Survey Monkey Intelligence, who is very known for their polls and numbers, Pokemon Go is the biggest mobile game ever in the US based on daily active users. The game already took the 2016 title within 24 hours of launch, but that has since grown even more.
As of yesterday, Pokemon Go had 21 million daily active users playing the game, with it already surpassing Twitter the other day, as crazy as that may be.
The only question is whether it truly beat the real king of the mobile game industry, Candy Crush Saga. This game actually had 93 million daily active users at one point, but this was worldwide and across all types of devices. The reported total for mobile devices in the US though is around 20 million for Candy Crush Saga, which puts Pokemon Go just past it.
This is pretty incredible for a game that has only been out a few days, but we’ll have to wait and see if it drops off massively like other games such as Draw Something after garnering a huge audience out of the gate.
