Pokemon Go has had only a select few Gen 3 Pokemon since the Halloween event added them back in October. More were promised, and now it seems they are ready to arrive. A new trailer shows that many of Generation 3’s biggest and best Pokemon will be added to the game very soon, with more rolled out over the coming weeks. Along with this was the announcement of a new feature within the game, dynamic weather.

The announcement says the the Gen 3 Pokemon will begin showing up “later this week”, so get ready to start running around parks and public spaces once again. Legendary Pokemon will also be added to raid rotations it seems, though the details on that aren’t totally known yet.

Dynamic weather will also add a new bit of strategy to Pokemon Go. “The in-game map will be updated with cool new weather visuals based on your local weather patterns. The real-world weather will also influence which Pokémon you’re likely to discover. For example, Water-type Pokémon will be more plentiful during rainy weather.”

Many have complained that the mobile title lacks more gamey aspects, with players just walking around and catching whatever spawns near them. This seems like a fantastic first step to adding more of this sort of thing into the experience.

Pokémon GO – More Pokémon, More Adventure. Now with Dynamic Weather Gameplay!
