Bandai Namco and Nintendo are adding some very interesting online functionalities to Pokken Tournament DX very soon. An upcoming free update is planned to unlock new features like online team battles, an official group section for group matches, record pokemon movements and use them in training, and several other adjustments with the objective to improve the overall experience.
In the new online team battles, two friends will be able to form teams of three pokemon each engage in a spectacular match. The Official Groups section in Group Match online battle mode will offer players the chance to receive special titles. Another interesting feature is the option to control the opposing Pokemon in the Free Training mode, and record its movements with the objective of improving our skills when fighting it afterwards.
Pokken Tournament DX is the Nintendo Switch version of the Pokemon fighting game built upon the Tekken mechanics originally released for Wii U. While the new version added more characters, modes and a slight graphic improvement, the new console landscape clearly offers more possibilities in the online multiplayer area, which Bandai Namco is looking to implement very soon.
Nintendo has confirmed that it will give more details on these new features in the official website of the game.
