The Australian Classification board has now rated Pokken Tournament giving us a few more small details on the content of the game.
Pokken Tournament has been rated PG for “Mild violence and online interactivity“. There are only mild impacts for both themes and violence.
The game has no bad language, drug use, nudity or sex. This makes sense for a Pokemon game. I don’t want to know of any fan fiction that actually contains this stuff from Pokemon…
Anyway, it is a fighting game much like Tekken where the Pokemon characters duke it out mano-o-mano. The game was released earlier in 2015 in Japanese arcades. The game has a March 18th, 2016 release date for Wii U in Japan.
Neither Nintendo or Bandai Namco have announced the release date for the game on Wii U for North America or Europe yet. It still has a generic Spring 2016 release window only. Spring 2016 is loaded with many other games coming out around the same time too.
Pokken Tournament is not the only Bandai Namco fighting game that has been popular at the arcades lately. Tekken 7 has been wowing gamers too. A console release for Tekken 7 is also expected to be out later in 2016 too.
