PSN Down Again, Preventing Users from Playing Online

UPDATE: PSN seems to be back up as of now.

Original Story: For the second time in just a few days PSN has gone down, preventing users from logging in and playing games online. Other services seem impacted as well, so some may not be able to buy or load various games, depending on how much they require a PSN connection.

The last outage came a couple of days ago and lasted a few hours. So far there has been acknowledgement of the issues from Sony, but no full explanation. We also don’t have an estimate for how long the PSN downtime will last, so keep checking back for updates as this works its way to a fix.

“We’re aware that some users are experiencing issues logging into PSN. Thanks for your patience as we investigate,” said the Ask PlayStation Twitter account. Currently the PSN Status page shows that everything except for PlayStation Vue is having issues, so don’t expect much functionality out of PSN for some time.

We’ll keep this updated as more comes out, so keep checking back until you’re able to get in. If you are able to play on PSN on either PS3 or PS4 please shout out in the comments so that we can all figure out more about the current outage.
